Gosh I have so much to tell you about my wedding planning adventures in June, and it’s only the 15th…Honestly, since we moved back to the UK its like someone turned up the speed and we are whizzing through our “To Do” list like lightening…

Since I last wrote to you about the Save The Days I’ve pretty much not looked at the stationery at all… Ooooops, naughty me, but it’s just we’ve been so busy with other wedding things, and I felt like I needed a little break 😉

The first big thing to tell you is we chose and purchased the Bridesmaid dresses!! OMG they are gorgeous!! I don’t want to tell you too much about them, but honestly, I am over the moon, and the best bit, they all fit and my girls look stunning in them!! We’re going to add a ribbon to the waist, but thats all they need. The shop I bought my dress from were also kind enough to let me pop in and have a look what they look like next to my dress, and well, WOW, perfect match, Mr B stayed in the car obvs!! But he gave them a big thumbs up!! Next job suits for the Groomsmen… eeeek, but we can’t do that until Mr B himself is kitted out, can’t wait for that, we’re going to London for the day… I love London!! and in the Summer too… Hope we get to have a picnic in a park somewhere. YEY! Anyway… sorry, off on a tangent as usual. lol…

Another BIG wedding thing we did this month was the tasting with the caterer. Oh. My. Days. What a treat?? I have never eaten so much! The company we have booked also own a little pub called The Inn, it’s nestled in the heart of small village near Banbury, surrounded by lush gardens and little cottages. When we arrived we were greeted by Jenny, who I’ve been emailing for a year, so nice to put a face to a name… lol… she doesn’t look like I imagined either, but now I’ve met her, I can’t remember what thought she would look like, weird. Anyway… she escorted us to a little table in the corner, all kitted out with white table cloths and crystal glasses, we were both impressed. On the table, printed on the prettiest paper ever were the things we had chosen to taste, a list of yummy canapes followed by ‘The Main Event’ and then deserts! Eeeeek. First came the canapes… little yummy bites of joy… We had ten to try in total, I won’t bore you with a Lloyd Grossman style analysis of each one, but my personal fave was the ham hock croquette with minted pea dip… delicious!! Next came the courses. Lancashire Hot Pot and Cumberland Sausage and mash. That. Mash! The best mash I have ever tasted!! And then the show stopping deserts! One which is totally Heston worthy!! hehe… YUM. Can’t wait.

We’ve been making lots of little plans and sorting out a few surprises for the weekend, and now we’ve finished renovating Mum’s house we can start to do the DIY things we’ve (I’ve) planned, can’t wait to get cracking. It will definitely be all hands on deck! Good job we decided to add another bridesmaid… YEY!! Obviously that’s not the reason we decided to ask her. She’s a great friend to both Mr B & I, and we really wanted her to play an important role in the wedding… Always one for a bit of theatrics, I decided to post her a dress, and hope that she would say yes. I even got her Mum in on my sneaky surprise 😉 LUCKILY she didn’t think I was completely off my rocker, and when my phone pinged with a photo message of her wearing the dress, well lets just say it’s a good job Mr B was on hand with the tissues…

The girls have started to plan my hen do too… (eeeeeek) so I’ll keep you posted on how that develops over the next few months, they are being very secretive, no matter how hard I interrogate them they aren’t giving anything away! lol… Actually its quite nice to let go of something, and not have to worry about it. I trust the girls, they know me 100%, and I know it will be a fab weekend wherever we go… 😉

Bubbles...

Cheers….
